The Plague Doctor evokes the sentiment of a shadowy messenger who lets us know help is on the way, and to remain strong in this time of waiting. When shadow comes to tea, slow down, observe and do what is needed to take care of yourself.  The Plague Doctor carries a scythe and the herbs that she harvested them with, as a symbol of self reliance and resilience. The herbs she is carrying are Nettle, Mullein Flower, St. Johns wort and Horsetail. This is also an archetype of protection, as the mask and medicine are things you need when you are most vulnerable. Always make sure you have had the rest you need and are in a good headspace before you take on the problems of others.  Allow deep rest, practice protection and focus on nourishing yourself to honor the gem that hides within this oracle.
