The Sea Witch holds a dying fish in her hands.  She has the power to bring it back to life and when healed, returns it to the ocean.  The spirits of the ocean give her new knowledge about saving her own species from extinction.     

The earth is bursting with treasures from the deepest oceans to the tallest mountain tops.  There is much hiding that is yet to be discovered, and it is worth protecting.  The witch sees the value in all of this and her presence in our consciousness is needed now more than ever. 

This painting was created as a part of an ocean series and is a companion piece to “Octopus and Anecdote” and “Lobster and Anecdote.”
