Kelly is an artist and illustrator who conjures childhood mischief and wonder to bring people closer to nature. Over the last 10 years, she has practiced professional freelancing using her skills as a fine artist and illustrator with a BFA concentrating in Graphic Design. She has created original graphics for books, product labels, magazines, album covers, apparel, and furniture. She uses a variety of traditional mediums such as watercolor, ink, gouache, acrylic and oil to create her illustrations.
Kelly makes her home among the rain forests of the great Northwest, and has traveled throughout Europe and lived simply in the woods, giving her art aesthetics of an otherworldly fairy tale. Her studies in symbolism and divination add mystical meaning to the stories in her pictures. She illustrates animals, her community and surroundings into her paintings with these themes as the backdrop.
She is the creator of Moon Bunny and other Fables and exhibits her art throughout the US and Europe. Her additional creative pursuits include photography, toy making, writing stories, and recording original music.
She is currently seeking venues to exhibit her original paintings, and is open to new clients interested in hiring for original illustration.
